Methadone Clinic, Chicago, IL
A clear path. A supportive team. A process you can trust.
To help us decide whether methadone is the right treatment for you, a clinician will review your health background, current symptoms, substance use history, medications, and any concerns you have.
Using all of the information we gather, the physician will establish your starting dose and outline your initial treatment schedule. You’ll also have space to ask questions and talk through expectations.
To ensure precise dosing, you’ll undergo a health check, including blood and/or urine tests. These results help establish a clear baseline, allowing treatment to be tailored to your individual needs and monitored accurately over time.
Before your initial session, you’ll hear how dosing works, how long methadone typically lasts in the body, and what it will feel like during and after treatment. Most first appointments last about 1-2 hours, though the exact time varies
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our staff, who will make sure you’re well enough for your dose.
At Revive Treatment Centers, we provide the methadone doses in liquid form. This allows for precise measurement and controlled dosing. To make sure your program is going as planned, as well as to keep you safe, a trained staff member will be on hand documenting your daily dose as you take it.
Your counselor and care team stay connected with you throughout your program. Group and individual counseling are a core part of the treatment to help you manage challenges, strengthen coping skills, and build long-term stability.
While every plan is customized, most patients follow a general progression:
You come in daily as we monitor your dose, check how your body responds, and adjust when needed.
This is when symptoms usually begin to settle. At this point, the dose becomes more consistent, and you will likely feel much more stable.
Some patients transition to take-home doses once they meet federal and clinic-level safety guidelines.
The Revive Method is not a slogan — it is the order we do things in, and it exists because the first month is when most people leave treatment.
Come in. Be honest about use — we are not here to punish disclosure, and treatment built on inaccurate information does not work. Tell us when something is not working before you disappear. That is the whole list.
Staff who know your name. No moralising. Straight answers about cost before you commit. A counselor who stays yours. And if we are not the right fit, we will say so and help you find somewhere that is.
