Initially, clients come to the clinic daily to receive their medication in person. That’s why we’ve established our methadone program near you, in residential areas, convenient for daily access. This daily structure helps establish consistency and ensures you start off with the right support. The admission process is straightforward and designed to help new patients get started quickly. In the United States, methadone must be dispensed through an Opioid Treatment Program certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, like Revive Treatment Centers.
But that’s just the first step.
As treatment progresses and stability is established, you can become eligible for take-home doses, meaning you won’t have to visit the clinic every day. These take-homes are based on a combination of factors like attendance, engagement in counseling, and progress in recovery. Please note that certain forms and documentation may be required as part of this process.

She believes treatment should be about supporting each person in a way that makes them feel safe, heard, and capable of lasting change.

Eva is an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse whose career includes working at renowned institutions such as Georgetown University Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medicine in Washington, D.C., and Northwestern Medicine. These experiences have shaped her approach to care, blending clinical expertise with deep empathy, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient advocacy. Eva believes in recognizing each patient as an individual with unique needs and strengths.
Linda Avers
Linda joined our team with over 15 years of experience as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE INTAKE PROCESS
We know starting treatment can feel overwhelming, so here’s a quick look at what happens first, step by step:

Initial Assessment
When you first come in, you’ll meet with one of our medical staff to make sure methadone treatment is the right fit for you. The intake process is typically completed within the first week.

Meet Your Counselor
Next, you’ll sit down with a counselor who takes the time to really understand your background, including your mental health, substance use history, and goals. Together, you’ll build a treatment plan that’s tailored just for you.

Quick Health Check
You’ll take a urine drug screen (totally standard), and within your first two weeks, you’ll also complete a physical exam, TB test, and some basic lab work (serology).
After these steps, new patients may be invited to complete a brief survey about their experience to help us improve our services.
